Beef Roast

Beef Roast prepared in Kerala style

Summary of Ingredients

  • Beef – 1/2 Kg
  • Garlic paste – 2 tbs
  • Ginger paste – 2 tbs
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Vinegar – 2 tbs
  • Coriander Powder – 1 1/2 tbs
  • Red Chilli powder – 1 tbs
  • Cardamom – 4
  • Cinnamon Sticks – 2
  • Black Pepper – 1 tbs
  • Fennel Seeds (Hindi name – Saunf)
  • Cloves – 5-6
  • Oil – 3 tbs
  • Coriander Leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Onion – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green Chillies – 3
  • Curry Leaves – 2 stem

Directions

  1. Put the beef in a bowl
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste and vinegar. Mix it well
  3. Marinate for 1/2 hour
  4. After marination put the beef in the cooker, pour half cup water. Cook for 20 mins
  5. Heat the pan and add fennel seeds, cinnamon seeds, cardamom, cloves and black pepper, Fry for 2 mins
  6. Grind all the fired spices together
  7. Heat the pan and pour oil
  8. Add curry leaves and onion. Fry the onion till it turns brown
  9. Add ginger and garlic paste. Stir well
  10. Add coriander powder, rd chillie powder, turmeric powder and grinded spices
  11. Add beef and Fry for 5 mins
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and mint leaves
  13. Ready to serve
