Summary of Ingredients

  • Basmati rice – 250 gms
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 cup
  • Green Chillies – 3
  • Ginger – 50 gms
  • Carrot – 1/2 cup
  • Beans – 1/2 cup
  • Green peas – 1/2 cup
  • Cabbage – 1/2 cup
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Onion – 1
  • Bay Leaves – 2
  • Cloves – 5
  • Cardamoms – 4
  • Cinnamon sticks – 2
  • Ghee – 2 tbs
  • Oil – 2 tbs
  • Salt as required
  • Garlic – 10 cloves
  • Lemon – 1
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp

Direction

  1. Grind coriander leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, onion, black pepper, green chillies, cardamom, garlic cloves, and ginger. Make it a smooth paste
  2. Heat the pan and pour oil
  3. Add ghee, bay leaves, onion and stir fry
  4. Add carrot, beans, cabbage and green peas
  5. Mix it well for 5 mins
  6. Add tomatoes, salt and squeeze lime over the vegetables
  7. Add the ground paste and mix it well
  8. Add rice and mix it together
  9. Fry for 5 mins
  10. Add the mixed vegetable rice to the cooker and add 1 liter of boiled water
  11. Add salt as required
  12. Cook for 5 mins (1 whistle)
  13. Ready to serve
